SELECTED WORKS IN EDITING, DIRECTING AND OTHER ROLES

LINER NOTES

The selected works above represent Butler's output during his student tenure at Howard University. Butler was particularly fond of the editor's role, utilizing Premiere Pro to complete a number of student projects and assignments. Butler also created minimalist ambient scores for select projects.

His first directorial effort and student release – the poetic documentary PIVOT, which he also edited and scored – was first premiered as a final project in his Documentary Film class senior year.

Butler's work at Howard also displays his creativity in dance, as he served in choreographic roles for film, including the HUFO anthology series Where's Everybody At?.

FUN FACT: Butler dabbled in the boom operator's role on a few shorts, including the award-winning Cain and Lilith, written and directed by Chandler Robinson.
